Instructions for connecting to GCNetWireless on Mac OS X

Note: These instructions will work for Mac OS X 10.4.9 and later. Versions preceeding 10.4.9 may or may not work by following these instructions.

1.) Click on the Airport icon in the top right of the menu bar. Once the menu appears, select "Open Internet Connect..."
2.) Click on the lock icon for 802.1X. If you do not see the icon for 802.1X, go to "File" in the Internet Connect menu and select the option for "New 802.1X Connection..."


3.) Open the list of options for "Configuration" and select "Edit Configurations..."

4.) For the Description, enter GCNetWireless.

The User Name is your GCNet username and Password is your GCNet Password.

From the Wireless Network list, select GCNetWireless.

On the Authentication list, make sure that only PEAP authentication is selected.

Click OK.

5.) You should now see a screen similar to this. You can now click "Connect".

 

 

 

Note: It may ask if you wish to save the configuration. Click the "Save" button if you would like for this information to be available again in the future so you do not have to enter it again.
