Instructions for connecting to your Greensboro College FTP account
| Click on the "Start" button then click on the "My Computer" button. | |
| Type "ftp://ftp.gborocollege.edu" into the adress bar and hit enter. | |
| You should now see a logon screen. Your logon information will be the same username and password you use to log onto GCNET and the campus computers. | |
| You will now see the base folder of your GCNET profile. Your profile is the information that makes computing on campus identical as you go from one computer to another. DO NOT delete your profile directory or any directory containing profile information. The "public" folder is your personal webspace and is located on GCNET. For more information about your personal webspace look at the information on "Creating your personal webpage at Greensboro College" |
|
| If your files are in your "My Documents" folder or on your "Desktop" you will first want to open the profile folder and access the files it contains. | Your "My Documents" and "Desktop" folders are now accessible. Just open the folder you wish to work with and you can now "drag and drop" or copy and paste files to and from your computer. |
